Studio Serruys Verdoodt (Mathieu Serruys & Joris Verdoodt) are a creative team operating in the field of graphic design, typography and webdesign based in Gent, Belgium. We are often working for (but not limiting ourselves to) cultural institutions and organizations, individual artists, architects, musicians and publishers. We share a strong interest in taking on assignments that require a content-first approach in close collaboration and dialogue with our clients.

In addition to all kinds of printed matter, the design and development of websites is also an important branch in our studio. Websites are always coded in-house to ensure integrated design solutions and an efficient workflow. By developing with a state-of-the-art content management system, we can offer our clients a personalized and very user-friendly online environment.

Besides working for clients, we are also running B.A.A.D.M., a publishing platform for experimental music with a strong interest in the interaction between artist modus operandi and an environment of alternate worldview.

Urbain Architectencollectief is an architecture collective with a focus on reintegrating churches and a diverse portfolio that includes residential, office, and public building projects. Their website demonstrates their modus operandi by way of the concepts ‘mono’, ‘duo’ and ‘stereo’. Mono displays individual projects and allows the viewer to dive into each project in detail, Duo compares two projects side by side, and Stereo presents a collection of images that provide insight into how their projects relate to each other on a larger scale.
